- 4 / 5By cody bashamNormally the food is decent 6/10. The prices are reasonable for the quantity, entrees start at around $12 while the more expensive dishes are around $25.
Although I like the atmosphere it does seem a little ran down and in need of renovation. The restaurant is divided into multiple rooms (4-5 plus a bar) with no visibility, I've waiting 15 minutes with an empty drink more than once likely because "out of sight out of mind". Granted the better staff don't have a problem.
I don't have much experience with the bar here, but they do have bands occasionally and I have had a few cold beers and my wife enjoyed the margarita.
I recommend the Gumbo or Lobster Bisque soups, the grilled (not fried) shrimp, the steaks, and if available the boiled crawfish (authentic LA style). The Étouffée is good (9/10) although last time I went it was not available.August 04, 2016
